The MSLA Board of Trustees consist of 11 members elected by the membership for a two-year term. Elections are held for two weeks during the last week of April and first week of May.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for managing all the affairs of the League and acting on any and all questions and making all contracts necessary for the proper transaction of all business of the League. The Board is responsible for setting fees for membership, enforcing the League rules and imposing and enforcing penalties for violations. The Board settles disputes regarding final player ratings.
Additionally, the Board may suspend or expel a member for conduct in violation of the Bylaws or Rules, or for conduct improper or prejudicial to the best interests of the League and may deny membership of any person into the League.
Commissioner
The Commissioner is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the league. The Commissioner presides over all formal meetings of the membership and board and serves as the official delegate to IPride Softball.

Assistant Commissioner
The Assistant Commissioner performs all duties and exercises all powers of the Commissioner during the Commissioner's absence and presides at all Managers’ Council Meetings. The Assistant Commissioner is liaison to entities providing playing fields and for overseeing field maintenance.

Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for maintaining an official record of the By-Laws and Rules of Play. The Secretary keeps the minutes of the meetings of the Board, the membership, and of the Managers’ Council. The Secretary manages player and team registration for the league and maintains a record of all members of the League and their respective contact information.

Treasurer
The Treasurer has charge of the financial affairs of the League. The Treasurer is responsible for accounting for all dues and monies collected and all disbursements made by the League. The treasurer maintains custody of the checkbook(s) and for collecting and depositing funds into league accounts. The Treasurer is responsible for monitoring and coordinating compliance with 501(c)3 guidelines with the PRC and FSC.

Competition Coordinator
The Competition Coordinator (CC) is responsible for providing the league playing schedule, interpreting the Rules of Play and is liaison with umpires. The CC oversees all tournament committees. The CC is responsible for addressing all safety concerns and enforcing corrective actions to protect the safety of all players.

Public Relations Coordinator
The Public Relations Coordinator (PRC) serves as the spokesperson for the League, primary trustee of the league website and approves all league communications (other than the Board). The PRC oversees publication of the league newsletter and approves all advertising/marketing materials. The PRC coordinates sponsorship and 501(c)3 compliance with the Treasurer and FSC.

Fundraising / Sponsorship Coordinator
The Fundraising / Sponsorship Coordinator (FSC) coordinates all League fundraising activities with the teams and members of the League. The FSC is liaison between the Team Title Sponsors and the Board, coordinates with the Treasurer and the PRC to secure corporate sponsors for the League and coordinates with the MALs to secure team sponsors.

The Members-At-Large (MAL) serve as liaison between their teams and the Board. MALs assist the Secretary in maintaining current and accurate team rosters, assist in training new managers, and ensure that all player and team dues are paid. MALs assist the CC in ratings distributions and assisting teams to secure title sponsors with the FSC.
